Survey shows relaxed attitude to secret debt

A survey by credit monitoring service MyCallcredit suggests that secret debts are not the relationship-killer that they may once have been, with only one in 10 of those surveyed saying that they would consider ending a relationship if they discovered their partner had secretly built up debts.

Insolvency at record levels

Over 20,000 people became insolvent in the last 3 months of 2005, according to new government figures, representing a rise of 57% over the same period in 2004. In total, 70,000 insolvencies were recorded over the year.
